OutServe 2012 International Leadership Conference in Orlando

MPFC Community Outreach: Military Partners and Families Coalition presented at the  2012 OutServe International Leadership Conferences on the “Health and Mental Health Needs of LGBT Military Families.” This workshop presented preliminary results from our groundbreaking community study* on the health needs of LGBT military families, the first of its kind.

“We were thrilled to present at both the first and second of OutServe’s annual Leadership Conferences,” said MPFC President, Ariana Bostian-Kentes. “We have a solid history of partnership with OutServe-SLDN and are always happy to work alongside them to make sure the voices of the LGBT military family community are heard.”

BG Tammy Smith, our own vice president and co-founder Tracey Hepner’s wife, spoke at the conference dinner. BG Smith is the highest-ranking openly LGB person in the military.
